Do you cater for Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced Riders?
Yes we do. We can cater from a complete beginner to an Advanced Rider.
We have horses for all levels and abilities of riding. We match our horses to your riding level using a range of criteria including, height, weight and experience.
You can enter these details in our online enquiry form, or if you make a phone booking we will ask you then for your riding ability.
What should I wear? Should I bring anything?
Comfort is key with horse riding, so wear long long pants (long jeans or tights) and closed in shoes or sneakers. Suncream and mozzie reppellant never goes astray either!
Bring your camera or your phone, we have lots of photo opportunities and we can add a little saddle bag for your belongings.
Most importantly, we provide helmets to keep you safe. You may bring your own helmet to ride in as long as it meets the required safety standards. We also provide wet weather gear if required.
Do you ride in all weather?
We sure do!
Some of the most beautiful rides have been done in a light drizzle. If winds are gail force, storms imminient or bushfires close-by we will talk with you to arrange another time that suits you. If conditions become unsafe we postpone our rides to a suitable day and time.
We have wet-weather gear for you to wear to get that real authentic cowboy feel.
If the weather is hot we arrange earlier and later rides to cater for the hotter weather.
Do you do group bookings?
Yes! We have arranged for lots of different activities and groups to go on our rides.
We can tailor a package to suit you and your group.

How long does it take to respond to messages?
We will respond to your message as soon as possible.
During the day we might be out on a ride or out of a reception area, or working with the horses.

Do you have an minimum age & weight limit for riders?
Our minimum age is from 8yrs +.
Our weight limit is up to 100kg to have a suitable horse available for you to ride.
What times do rides go out?
Generally our rides go out at the following times:
6.30am, 9.30am & 1.30pm (times may vary with time of year)
Sunrise Times: Pick up is 1hr 15mins prior the Sunrise time ie. 6.00am Sunrise means a pick up of 4.45am
Sunset Times: Pick up is 1hr 15mins pror to Sunset times ie 5.30pm Sunset means a pick up time of 4.15pm
Speicial Occasions: We can arrange a ride at any particular time of day or night depending on your circumstances. Give us a call with your enquiry and we can taylor a package to suit your needs.
Are you open every day?
We are open every day except Christmas Day.
Monday through to Sunday - Ride Times: 6.30am, 9.30am & 1.30pm
Alternative times can be arranged upon request.
Where is the pick up location?
We will pick you up from the following location.

We transport you and your group out to our Horseabout Tours headquarters.
Please park your vehicle at the rear of the service station near the Horseabout Tours sign.
